From Webcomic to Animation – by Ven Wong (CubeMelt)

Created by local artist/animation director Ven Wong, CubeMelt is a popular webcomic known for its relatable humor. Ven will share how it expanded into a MediaCorp animated series and games, showcasing the potential for original character IPs across media. This session covers the challenges, opportunities, and lessons in adapting a webcomic into animation and beyond.

Building an IP into a Lifestyle Brand – Chanel Lee (Tasty Toastys)

Tasty Toastys started in 2022 as a limited-edition digital collectibles project and has since grown into a lifestyle brand featuring plushes, bags, accessories, and stationery, now available in retail stores across Singapore, Japan, and London. In this session, creator Chanel Lee will share the brand’s journey beyond its original medium, covering product diversification, audience engagement, and brand positioning.
